May 13, 2017  the National Psoriasis Foundation Cycling event The Hampton's, NY will be taking place.
I am once again honored to have been selected as the Logistics Chairperson as well as the Cycle Committee Chair.
I have been involved with this event since its inception and I am taking on these roles to help move the event to the next level this year.
I am a professional Logistician with over 15 years experience, as well as an amateur Triathlete, and Mt. Bike endurance racer.
Before the event I will be working closely with a group of passionate individuals to organize and plan for a successful day on the road.
Day of the event I will be leading a group of riders on the 70 mile route. We leave  Duck Walk Vineyards in Water Mill NY, at 7:00 am head east to the Montauk Light House, and back.  This ride will be epic !
We are offering route distances of 70, 24, and 10 miles.
Each ride will be fully supported with rest stops, sag vehicles, full route direction markings, and multiple route marshals on each course to lead and follow each group.
I have personally been dealing with Psoriasis for eight years now.   It has been a very uncomfortable and stressful part of my life that not many people know about.  I am lucky today to be completely clear of any skin irritation but the is something I will have to live with the rest of my life.
There is no cure for this   psoriatic disease   , and that is why I have joined forces with Team NPF.  I have found a way to combine my passions, and expertise to help make a real difference.

Please support my dream of a life free of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis by making a donation today.

All money raised by Team NPF Cycle provides people with psoriatic disease the services they need to live well, while funding research for a cure.

There are TWO ways you can help me today:

1. Donate to me by clicking the SUPPORT ME button above.

2. Sign up and ride with me! Click on CYCLE in header above and then click the REGISTER NOW! button.

What is it like to have psoriasis or psoriatic arthritis? Let me tell you.

When you have psoriasis, your immune system has gone haywire. It tells your body to make skin cells at five times the rate of a “normal” person. These cells have nowhere to go, so they pile up on the surface of the skin in thick patches that crack and bleed.

When you have psoriasis you’re consumed by itch. It keeps you up at night and interferes with your work day. Though it’s an autoimmune disease and not contagious, people think that they’ll catch what you’ve got. They stare at you in public places, move away from you on the bus and ask you to leave public pools and hair salons.

When you have psoriatic arthritis—and up to 30 percent of people with psoriasis eventually will—your body attacks its tendons and joints causing pain, swelling and destruction. The pain is tremendous. It greets you when you get up in the morning and follows you throughout the day. Your fingers and toes may swell. You can no longer wear your wedding ring.

For these reasons and so much more, please support my dream of a life free of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis and its burdens by supporting my Cycle team.

Team NPF Cycle raises money to provide people with psoriatic disease the services they need to live well, while funding research for a cure.

Thank you so much for your support of this project that is so important to me.
