Welcome to my donation page! As some of you know I was diagnosed with psoriasis in 2012. Luckily, because of this diagnosis an additional diagnosis of a Stage 1 melanoma (skin cancer) was also made that same year. So, psoriasis saved my life! Which is great news! But, that doesn't mean that I don't live with the constant itching, redness and flaky skin, or the self conscious dilemma of walking out the door and facing the world. Late last year, I made the commitment to ride RAGBRAI (Des Moines Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa) and this summer I will tackle 428+ miles and over 12k feet of climb riding from Onawa to Davenport, July 22-28th. While making the trek, I hope to help raise awareness about something that affects so many, with unfortunately many questions to be answered about what causes this auto-immune disease.
All money raised by Team NPF Cycle provides people with psoriatic disease the services they need to live well, while funding research for a cure. People with psoriatic disease are more likely to suffer from heart disease, diabetes, and depression.
