Last year I rode in the first Team NPF Cycle ride in San Diego and with the support of friends and family raised over $1,700. It was my first fundraising ride and it was quite an honor to ride in support of NPF.
Having learned more about the disease, I've decided to increase my goal to $2,500. Psoriasis isn't just about a visible skin condition, psoriatic disease is an autoimmune disease. That means that psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis are actually caused by an overactive immune system.
Researchers are working to identify the antigens that trigger the autoimmune response in psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis, to better understand the role played by different kinds of immune cells in psoriatic disease, and develop new therapies that target cytokines or other parts of the immune system. To learn more about the latest research on the immune system and psoriatic disease, contact NPF's Patient Navigation Center.
Please support further research into the disease and treatment by making a donation to support my ride today.
All money raised by Team NPF Cycle provides people with psoriatic disease the services they need to live well, while funding research for a cure.
There are TWO ways you can help me today:
1. Donate to me by clicking the SUPPORT ME button above.
2. Sign up and ride with me! Click on CYCLE in header above and then click the REGISTER NOW! button.
Thank you so much for supporting this important event.
