Dr. Scott A. Fretzin
Dr. Fretzin grew up on the north side of Chicago. He is a 1989 graduate of Washington University in St. Louis with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. He continued his education with a Doctor of Medicine degree in 1993 and an internship in Internal Medicine in 1994 from the University Of Chicago School Of Medicine. He completed a residency in Dermatology at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 1997. During his Dermatology residency, Dr. Fretzin developed a special interest in the management of sexually transmitted diseases and staffed a county STD clinic one day a week for 15 years.
Dr. Fretzin joined Dr. Dawes in practice in 1997. Together they established Dawes Fretzin Clinical Research Group, LLC in 2004 and have conducted over 165 trials across multiple indications. The primary focus of the research has been on the management and treatment of psoriasis. The research group has been fortunate to have studied all the currently available biologic psoriatic treatments, many from early phase clinical trials.
