 Ed Lover Biography

Ed Lover, a recent inductee into the Hip Hop Hall of Fame, is a legend in the entertainment industry as an actor, musician, comedian, DJ and radio personality. In the 1990s, Lover was part of hip hop collective No Face, and, along with greats such as
Dr. Dre, pioneered the global exposure of hip hop music and lifestyle via Yo! MTV Raps. He served as a host of nationally syndicated The Morning Show with Ed, Lisa and Dre on Hot 97 in New York and continued to work with Dr. Dre as co-stars in the film Who’s the Man. Lover has hosted shows on major stations in New York (Hot 97, Power 105.1 and Kiss 98.7), Los Angeles, SiriusXM, Philadelphia’s Old School 100.3 and the newly syndicated The Ed Lover Show, distributed by Reach Media/Radio One. He has been seen on a plethora of sitcoms and commercials (AT&T’s commercial for Beats Music, ABC’s sitcom Fresh Off the Boat, TruTV’s Friends of the People, CNN’s The Eighties and Rickey Smiley for Real), and served as host of Gotham Comedy Live (AXS TV) while touring the nation as a stand-up comedian. Currently, Lover can be seen on the web series C'mon Son, which pokes fun at celebrities, pop culture, politics and the world.
