Meet Honorary Medical Chair, Dr. R. Todd Plott
Dr. Todd Plott is originally from Lubbock, Texas. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma and attended medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston. While attending medical school, a medical friend of Dr. Plott gave strong advice to him. He recommended Dr. Plott apply for a research grant in the department of dermatology. Dr. Plott took his friend’s advice. While there, he won a national research competition for dermatology students for his research on vitiligo, a condition that depigments the skin. Inspired by this achievement, Dr. Plott pursued his residency at the University of Arkansas. While there, he again researched vitiligo. He then continued his pursuit of research at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD studying Immunodermatology. After finishing his studies, Dr. Plott served at several major pharmaceutical companies, helping them create prescription dermatology drugs. Throughout his 16 years working in the pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Plott monitored thousands of patients and hundreds of clinical trials. In 2009, he moved back to his home state of Texas, but this time to the DFW Metroplex. Since opening his first office in Keller in May of 2011, Dermatology Alliance has served over 37,000 patients.Dr. Plott is an avid cyclist and is excited to serve as our first North Texas Cycling Honorary Medical Chair! Please support Dr. Plott and his Team Dermatology Alliance Riders!
